It involved everything that I have learned thus far about photography and all its many facets.
I realize now that I have come a long way since the first time I picked up a camera and took pictures of the world through my eyes. Before, I took pictures of shoes, birthday cakes, and people with little to no intent other than to satisfy my need for clicking a button. Gone are the days when snapshots were simply, for lack of a better word, snapshots.
Though I enjoy using what little knowledge I have gained, to its full extent, and whenever possible, I have come to terms with the fact that I still have a long road ahead of me. I appreciate every

and

I have received, and yet, I don't understand it. Not even in the slightest. Compared to the many other deviants whose works surpass mine in multiple ways, I still feel like that small, awkward child, clicking away carelessly and calling it "art."
I wish so much to be better, sometimes it drives me mad. It doesn't help that the price for purchasing and developing film seems to keep rising (maybe that's just where I live, or it's all in my head, who knows). It doesn't help that my photo-editing skills are far below par. It doesn't help that my digital camera isn't worth the $100 dollars I spent on it (I really should have saved for something better).
But I will keep working, if not for your own enjoyment, than for the satisfaction I get each time a picture turns out "perfectly." Hopefully someday soon, I will advance, whether that means taking courses at the local community college, or even reverting to that I-see-something-let-me-take-a-picture mode. It will happen.
Enough rant. I'm going to pee now. *points to mood*
Yours truly,
Thomi
